How to style a ballgown wedding dress with sleeves for a spring wedding, a fall wedding, and a winter wedding.

When wedding dress shopping, every bride envisions something different for their wedding day. Some see a bohemian desert wedding. Others see a sunset beach wedding, a mountain top elopement, or a traditional church wedding. While 100 brides might pick the same dress, not one of those ceremonies, receptions, or wedding details will be the same. Each bride has their own vision, design aesthetic, and their own personal style. All these things plus how they style their wedding gown is an expression of their élan. And, that right up there is one of the many reasons we love seeing the photos of a bride in her Edith Élan wedding dress. We don’t create the dresses for ourselves. We create them for the brides so that they can express their personal style.

Even if you were to read every article or take every quiz, you could still be left wondering what it is you are looking for. It’s going to sound profound, but sometimes taking a glance inward reveals the answers.

In bridal, wedding dresses with pockets have gained popularity within the last five years or so. And it's easy to see why. First of all, convenience! But also, when a bride tries on a dress only to discover it has hidden pockets, her excitement cannot be contained. She is bound to let her entourage know: "OMG... IT HAS POCKETS!" There is nothing more wonderful for a woman than a dress with pockets. Men, I'm not kidding. Compliment a woman in a dress and you will inevitably hear: "Thanks, it has POCKETS!"
Last week the bridal industry was rocked with news that the big box retailer missed a $270 million interest payment. Is this the writing on the wall for David’s Bridal? And if it is, what does that mean for brides shopping on a limited wedding dress budget? What does it mean for the rest of the bridal industry?
An elegant St. Louis Wedding in the Fall
"Simple, elegant, and relaxed." Those are the three words our Chicago bride, Annie, uses to describe her bridal style. And, we couldn't agree more! She looked gorgeous in her customized Isolde gown, which she said yes to early last year. Some nine months after that she was in St. Louis saying, "I do." Now here we are a year later, and she and her beau are celebrating their first anniversary!
A California girl marries a prince in the Royal Wedding of 2018. While the love story of the newly-minted Duke and Duchess of Sussex is the kind of story that inspires fairy tales, as a bridal designer, we know her bridal style is the kind that will inspire brides-to-be for years.
