A Dream Wedding at Chevy Chase Country Club
Nicole and Dan's late summer wedding was a dream come true. The happy couple wed at the Chevy Chase Country Club in Wheeling, IL — a suburb of Chicago. They exchanged their vows under a flower-adorned archway as family and friends watched.

A Romantic Phoenixville Foundry Wedding
Philadelphia will always hold a special place in our hearts. That's where we spent our college years. It's where the idea for Edith Élan first started. And now, it's also where our bride Nichole's love story begins.
The complete list of styles traveling the country for the bridal trunk show tour.
In our previous post, we went over the ins and outs of how bridal trunk shows work. Well, in this post, we are going to list all the bridal styles you’ll find on tour for winter 2019 and spring 2020. As an added bonus, we’re including ideas on how you can design your own wedding dress with customizations!
As wedding dress designers, we know finding the right style for your wedding dress can feel overwhelming at times. Especially when there are countless articles and online quizzes out there telling you one thing or another. Even if you were to read every article or take every quiz, you could still be left wondering what it is you are looking for. It’s going to sound profound, but sometimes taking a glance inward reveals the answers.
A St. Louis Wedding in the Fall
"Simple, elegant, and relaxed." Those are the three words our Chicago bride, Annie, uses to describe her bridal style for her St. Louis wedding. From the wedding dress to the wedding venue, Annie lets us in on the details of her special day.
A California girl marries a prince in the Royal Wedding of 2018. While the love story of the newly-minted Duke and Duchess of Sussex is the kind of story that inspires fairy tales, as a bridal designer, we know her bridal style is the kind that will inspire brides-to-be for years.
It's almost been one year since our beautiful bride Mary traveled to Ireland to marry her beau Donnchadh. But, we've known Mary for over two years. We met Mary at the launch of our Fall/Winter 2016 collection back in September of 2015. When it was time for her to pick her wedding dress, it was our honor to have her be an Edith Élan bride!
The holidays are a special time of year: full of magic, love, happiness, time spent with loved ones, and gift giving. In some cases, those gifts are extra sparkly. In the bridal industry, holiday season is also known as “engagement season” for a reason. Anyhow, if you happen to find yourself on the receiving end of one of these sparkly gifts: CONGRATULATIONS!!!
And when you start you search for that perfect dress, you may find the magical inspiration you need right here. #bippityboppityboo Just like newlyweds, you sometimes lose track of time as a creative entrepreneur. We can't believe it's been a little over a year since Mel and Dave tied the knot! We thought we would share some of the beautiful images from their special day as a way to celebrate their love. No bias here... okay maybe a little... but Mel was so effortlessly charming in our Tamarisk gown! Or rather, her Tamarisk gown.

To say 2016 has started off with a BANG for us would be an understatement. It would also be an understatement to say we have been “keeping busy.” At this moment, we’re in the midst of working on the samples for our 2017 collection. We're sending gowns from our previous collection to trunk shows across the country. And, on top of it all, we’ve been blessed with being able to take part in styled shoots.

It's easy to get caught up in our own world and get NOTHING else done! But luckily, we have the award season to pull us from our abstraction. It'll give us the much needed inspiration, "oohs, ahhs, and what the hell were they thinking's!" Bridal fashion has the added fun in that we can look back at current bridal trends and see where on the red carpet they originated. This year's red carpet will have some trends that are right on point and some that will thankfully go to the wayside. Here are our favorite trends that will grace the white carpets!

As I type this, I’m realizing that Christmas is one week away and the new year is only TWO WEEKS AWAY!!! Where did the year go?! Can time slow down a bit? Reflecting on the Year Past
This has been an adventure and a giant learning curve as we grow Edith Élan! For as glamorous as we would like to think owning and running our own fashion design company should be, it’s not. In fact, it’s cliché. It’s been a roller coaster of ups and downs. Stress over this. Celebrate that. Plan this. Worry about that. Design this. Forget that. Sew this. Unstitch that, and so on. Luckily, we can count on our fabulous support system of friends and family to keep us sane and motivated.
So, to all of you wonderful people: THANK YOU!!! (a million times over) To G: Thanks partner! I wouldn’t have chosen anybody else to make this dream come true with me. We love and fight like sisters, but that’s what makes us awesome. #loveyou #donteverchange #phraseswritteninhighschoolyearbooks #butimeanit #yesididjusthashtaginablog This coming year will be a year of learning for us as well. And another year of growth. While we don’t know exactly what it will hold, there are a few things we do know. We know we already have our favorite and not-so-favorite bridal trends. So without further ado, here they are.
We are currently in the middle of "engagement season." With so many newly engaged (or soon-to-be engaged) brides, here is a post full of wedding inspiration!
We've chosen four of our wedding dresses and styled them according to a theme: a Charming Southern Wedding, a Modern Art Deco Wedding, a Boho-Classic Forest Wedding, and a Contemporary Museum Wedding. We've also included the other wedding details for more inspiration. And now, four dream weddings coming right up!

"It's been 84 years and I can still smell the fresh paint. The china..." (record scratching) Oops... not my flashback. So it hasn't been 84 years since my wedding, and there was no smell of fresh paint in the air. To be honest, I can't remember what it smelled like that day! What I do remember from before the wedding day was the stress. Lots of it! Why? Because I was that crazy bride that said, "I can do this planning all by myself!" (and work two jobs and make my dress and deal with whatever life threw at me). Let the record also show I only had one "Bridezilla" moment! Anyhow, with my fifth anniversary coming up, I'm going down the wedding planning memory lane. Plus, I'm also bringing in some guest contributors to give their advice on photography, wedding planning, and entertainment. |
